That rubber coating on the ASVAPE / OhmboyOC ARYA is really the only thing that worries me. Everything else is great and dammit that door is really something special. It holds on for dear life until you want to open it. At least in my experience.
It’s ergonomic as hell too, that button placement is tip top, which makes this 100 times comfier than the Legend 2 despite being bigger. As I’m uploading this video, I’ve heard 2 or so reports of the ARYA being underpowered by about 10w. I honestly have not noticed anything odd about it, but with that in mind, I’ll report back if anything does pop up.
What do you use on top of an 18350 mod? let me know down below. As I said in the video, I don’t know that this IAIDO mod is for sale, or will be for sale later on or how much it will cost or anything, but I do know that I love holding and using this IAIDO mod. The 18650 / 18350 conversion thing is cool, I just need to find a use for the 18350 mod. What do you use? let me know down below.
BP Mods did a great job with this thing, I would love to see a mass-produced version. The design does look a little wonky until you get it in your hand. The Acrylic type material the IAIDO Mod is made out of is beautiful to look at.
USB TYPE C! right in the front, didn’t even mention it. The Wotofo MDURA is beefy like Geekvape used to be beefy. This feels like an old AEGIS to me, but somehow…. beefier? Really solid device, it’s not revolutionary, but it is very modern and cool. The screen and UI are really nice to use. Fat clicky fire button, dual 18650, boom roasted. While this might not stay on my desk very long. The Wotofo MDURA is going to be one of those “workhorse” type mods.
I give Lost Vape a lot of guff now and again, but this Thelema DNA250C is Lost Vape being at the top of their game. Every finish in this looks cool. Almost every “cut out” for this looks cool. The Thelema feels spectacular in the hand. Comfy, weighty, soft. It feels polished and finished and deliberate.
The actual C-Frame style design itself is old. This form factor is THE form factor for most dual 18650 mods. I like to think of it like a smartphone. The smartphone has been a rectangle for 20+ years. A dual 18650 will probably be a C-Frame for much much longer.
I’m pretty confident in saying that the VooPoo drag 3 is my favorite version so far of the DRAG series. Again, this being the dual 18650 mod with a 510 connection. Going all the way back to even the first DRAG mod, I think VooPoo has always done a pretty solid job. I didn’t LOVE the Drag 2, but the Drag 3 is something that I would want to own.
The Drag 3 feels slick and “techy” kind of along the same lines as the LostVape dual 18650 devices. If you have nothing to vape, The Drag3 is the newest, most updated-est version of the DRAG mods. Alternatively you can probably also just wait two months and get the Drag 3 “Prime” or “Plus” or “max”… probably
The Augvape Foxy One 21700 mod is very slick IMO. Feels like an old school C-Frame mod from 2015 / 2016. The leather is some of the nicest I have seen recently and the suede ( although dingy now ) is wicked soft.
The Foxy One is a solid little single battery banger. As I said in the video, I’ve run all sorts of toppers on here from a Kayfun and a Pioneer to a Type Two and even a Recoil briefly. Most recently the Nautilus GT Mini has been on top and it’s been very nice.
As a guy that has always had a special place in my heart for single battery bangers and currently being on an MTL kick, the Foxy One is firmly on the desk. If it only had a better button.
LOST VAPE IS MAKING COOL MODS AGAIN!!! it’s just nice to see. This is a very pretty and well made mod. Feels great, looks great, doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. We have all seen this basic design 1,000 times from various manufacturers, but maybe that doesn’t really matter right now.
