Now then…Was the OG Gear RTA even really THAT good? like to begin with? People are saying the V2 ruined the V1 and I kind of agree. But I also think they are more similar than everyone realizes with an obvious clear winner… Spoilers…
The consensus on the Damn Vape ATEMPORAL 24MM RTA seems to be all over the place. Some people really seem to love it hard, others don’t, and some people’s ATEMPORAL RTA has a whistle.
My Atemporal RTA doesn’t whistle, but it is spongy as hell. This airflow is a textbook definition of “spongy”. It’s an odd term, but as I’ve said, it feels like a kitchen sponge is in front of your airflow.
Look this turned into a little bit of a gush fest for the Wicket BLISS AIO from Limelight Mechanics but… that’s kinda what it was intended to be, hahaha. I’ll gush some more down here I guess. The Wicket AIO feels awesome, this delrin is soft to the touch and durable. This feels “high end” to me in so many ways.
The button will kinda rattle, that’s a bummer, but I’ll kinda forgive it because it clicks so so so so so nice. so nice. So long story short is we are getting married, and I’m excited about our future life together.
NGL, the Wotofo Gear V2 RTA kinda won me over a little bit more in this very video. As I said, I was ready to pan this thing with a 4 sticker rating. Something about that coil kinda changed everything and dang it, no, I won’t shut up about the flavor. It’s really good IMO.
Don’t love the tank itself, don’t love the tophat, but it’s fine. The airflow is honestly kinda sharp and a hair loud. This is just a mysterious tank to me and I think will be one of those RTAs that everyone ends up getting and loving. Also because it’s really not expensive in any way.
I get it now, I totally totally get it now. Stainless steel mesh can be a rockin good wick. I feel like for almost the first time I’m actually appreciating an RDTA. With that said, I’m very much enjoying this Thunderhead Creations Artemis 2 RDTA ( top coiler not so much, maybe if it had some SS wicks ) It all fits together really well. Nice fit and finish. The “spoke / hole” system works flawlessly. All the o-rings feel real nice, secure but not ever “stuck”
The airflow is crazy plentiful. Full open is way way too much airflow for any human with human lungs. I turn it down more than halfway and even then still feels real “cloud chasey” to me. Solid flavor, dripper like flavor obviously.
Going back the OG Gen did have a slight “Plasticy” feel as well. I know people are going to ask about the 510. I know the OG had a press-fit 510 and on this one, I have no idea of how to look for that. I’ve yanked and put stress on it. Seems to be holding up. Seem like more time will tell on that. So I’ll keep rocking this as a daily and let you know.
Otherwise, I said what I said about the Gen 200W and 80W. Kinda meh, kinda fine. The GTI Coil heads are really where it’s at with these. You can get those in other kits as well tho. I still think they are both really really boring looking and feeling.
The Augvape Alexa S.24 rocks as a little dripper, and it’s pretty great as a little squonker. The flavor is stellar, the airflow is good ( sometimes a hair sharp ). I can’t help but love this thing. The vape feels full and dense.
As much as I’m loving the Alexa on my Snowcap squonker, I think I kinda wanna rock it as a dripper on a tube mech next. As soon as this bottle runs out. Dig this thing, not quite certified, but it does bang lots of bangs.
The vape from the Surge Ultrasonic Pod is objectively enjoyable. This is the best implementation of this technology I’ve seen so far. I said in the video it was “indistinguishable” from a mesh vape. I mean that it’s close to the same quality, just not as warm.
The size compared to the JUUL and even compared to some other smaller pods out there like the Wenax K1, is pretty “big and clunky” feeling. The pods vape really really nice, I just wish I enjoyed any of the flavors very much. Nice to see LOWER nicotine in a pre-filled pod.
The first thing I wanna say is these Pebble pod coil heads vape AWESOME. Like truly truly awesome. Caliburn / Doric / Wenax levels of awesome. The form factor of the Inmood Pebble pod, while comfy, is overall a little bit odd and I find myself not enjoying it as much as some other more slender pods. Purely personal preference.
Open airflow rocks, the tight airflow rocks.
The Reload Essential RDA might not be flawless, but it’s still pretty damned good. Maybe a different o-ring will help tighten up the fit and finish on the cap, no idea. As it stands there are some minor gripes on a really nice vaping RDA. Still haven’t got any crackle in this RDA and I still really like vaping it. The flavor is really very good.
