Every Tuesday afternoon for roughly an hour and a half, We will be discussing the topics of the day. As well as current breaking news from the world of vaping, tobacco, nicotine and tobacco harm reduction. Let’s get educated and fight the good fight together!

The USPS (UPS / FexEX ) Vape mail ban is coming at us fast. Like all things in the vape world and tobacco control. It’s not over, until it’s over. USPS is looking for feedback on this, and who better to provide it than the consumers that use these products? Also going to touch on Canada again and their Nic Cap legislation coming up.
I wanted to also spend some time on the most recent UK Public Health England – Vaping Evidence Update. This is the 7th update and not to spoil it, but they still really really support vaping and want even more of their citizens doing it.
I wanted to discuss The Real Cost campaign as well. I guess we all knew that this was a government funded propaganda machine, but I guess the gravity of that didn’t really hit me until today.
Then lastly I want to mention Germany. Recently a judge decided that the advertising slogan “E-cigarettes save lives” is not misleading. Boosh that’s a win. All this and much much more on today’s TBN.

Today I want to talk about the FDA and what a really cruddy organization they are. With the help of CASAA I want to “build a case” against the FDA and their non-action on regulating e-cig and vapor products. When it’s all laid out it’s pretty astonishing how slowly and ineffectively the FDA moved on e-cigs. While the UK was encouraging it’s citizens to switch to less harmful e-cigs, the FDA was dragging it’s feet and demonizing vaping like cigarettes. We are also going to talk about the vape mail ban and the victims it will be claiming. Want to mention what is going on in Canada, and if we have time, i’m going to share some Science. We are here to discredit the myth making machine my friends.

Today we are going to spend some time talking about a piece from the Wall Street Journal discussing how Smoking’s Long Decline Is Over, Cigarette sales are up, people are smoking more and more cigarettes. But why? We’re also going to spend a little time today discussing the American Heart Association and their paper about nicotine and anxiety. Some good news, some less than good news. We are here to discredit the myth making machine.

Today we are going to spend some time talking about Mr Anti-Science himself, Mike Bloomberg and how his anti-vaping campaign might have broken domestic and international laws. The fine upstanding World Health Organization has also released its regulatory recommendations for HTP and nicotine vapor products. Spoiler, they want all “tobacco” banned, regardless of the harm it causes.

We have a new CDC director too who seems to be pretty heavily focused on “returning the CDC to it’s science roots” . Those stories and so SO much more today on TBN.

The big topic this week in the vape / tobacco control space is a “manifesto” of sorts. A paper put out by veteran tobacco control leader Cliff Douglas. Cliff Douglas has worked in tobacco control for 33 years, he founded the American Lung Association Center For tobacco Control. This guy is a huge deal and has written a pretty earth shaking paper.

We are going to dive into it, talk about our take aways and discuss what this means for the bigger tobacco control landscape and how I believe this will be one of the catalysts for mainstream vape acceptance.

We’re also going to spend a little time today discussing the American Cancer Society and in spite of all of the overwhelming evidence they continue to NOT recommend e-cigs for quitting smoking. More than that they deter people from even trying. Cancer Research UK on the other hand? Prepare to be not that shocked. There is some other good news, some other less than good news. We are here to discredit the myth making machine.

Today’s topics include: Youth Vaping Trends. What does the CDC National Youth Tobacco Survey data say about Youth Vaping Trends? Arielle Selya has a new study and a Twitter thread explaining these trends. We also have some new about the FDA Lawsuit that has been simmering in the background for a while.

I also have to mention how FDA tried to squeeze a $14,000 “fee” from companies that switch to hand sanitizer during the COVID19 pandemic. Then lastly we are going to read about Fauci and masks, the parallels to vaping are uncanny.

But also included some other interesting things that not many people have caught on yet. I wanted to talk a bit about the PACT act, and what that means for the vape industry. We also have some Sweden nicotine news, as well as some vape news from Australia.
