Dug this squonk as soon as I set it up, after YEARS of not using a squonk even with the Pulse RDA it was treating me really nice. I CAN’T BELIEVE this thing got me squonking again, but the hand feel of the Avalanche V2 is incredible beyond words. Having a 21700 / 20700 mechanical squonk in this small of a form factor is truly awesome. I already mentioned this SnowCapMods Avalanche V2 hits hard. Still that.
As I said in my other SnowCapMods video, the printing is nice. He explains on his site how he does it, but it’s nice. For the sub $100 price point, it looks and feels very nice.
It’s hard not to love the Clutch X18, man. It’s kind of everything I wanted in a dual battery version of the Clutch. Mike and Signature tips I feel have taken Dovpo manufacturing to a pretty great level. All the fit and finish in this mod are tip-top and everything in the Clutch x18 works perfectly. Though I haven’t tested the fuses yet. Maybe I should?
Chances are if you’re watching this you have either already purchased one and want me to tell you it’s rad, or you are looking for someone to just push you over the ledge. Let me be that person. The Clutch X18 is rad as hell.
Without running the risk of repeating myself. This is kinda the only side-fire mech I have really truly enjoyed. Not counting things like the Clutch. TUBE side fire I should have said. It’s just delightful. It does have a weak point that I think you need to be careful with.
But otherwise, the Sui-SIDE mech is built awesome, hits well and because it’s a tube, is really really comfy to hold. Can’t to links, so use google. I know that Suicidemods tries to keep the prices down on these, but the Sui-SIDE with the Stacker add-on does get a little on the pricey side. Certainly not “high end” $400+, but certainly nothing to blow your nose at.
3D printing has come a shockingly long way. As I said, I’ve used hundreds of different 3D printed mods and this one by far feels the least 3D printed feeling. The switch is soft and squishy, but hits nice and hard, and has a locking feature. That’s a win.
Not JUST the Unholy V3, were also going to be doing a rundown of the Crossbones 4 mech mod as well. Just got this on Thursday and I’m anxious to get it up and running. Interested to see how well the SS tube “hits”. After stream thoughts will be down below.
Said this in the video, i’ll say it here. Stan @TenaciousTX KNOWS MECH MODS! and with Heavy Metal Vaper on board, they really made a banger of a mech mod. Hits hard, feels nice, solid construction and a slick innovative switch. I’m a fan.
Still wish that quick release on the bottom was reversed, but what can you do? As I said, it’s not difficult to adapt to it. The coating on the top of mine has started to come off from repeated removal and attaching of RDA’s, so that’s a thing as well.
Nothing revolutionary or groundbreaking. It’s a constant contact mech mod. Naval brass, copper contacts, hybrid 510. We have all heard this song before. The style and the machining are really top notch IMO but I would have loved to have seen a delrin sleeve on the inside.
Even though they are pricey, I don’t know how RCM Mods can sell mechs that are this high of a quality at the price they do and still offer free worldwide shipping. These are solid and NICE mech mods. The machining, the engraving, the fit and finish are all top notch. Truly and honestly very very nice.
Feels real nice in the hand, the engravings add an extra level of texture and “grippy-ness” that I’m really enjoying. The button throw is a short “medium” throw. Feels strong, but not like a RIG 5LB spring or anything.
